The Fabulous Fish Heads have been a constant on the Chicago scene for over a decade. A real homegrown find, their musical associations go back some twenty five years. Having learned their craft and honed their talents as members of some of the most notable bands in the world, they still share the same love and respect for the tradition that brought them together when they were just starting out.
While The Fabulous Fish Heads share a fondness for the music that they grew up on, they aren't content to merely recycle the greatest hits of blues and R&B. Talented also as songwriters, they deliver live performances which blend their own tunes with unique interpretations of audience favorites. Whatever they play, they offer it with fire and conviction, and dish it up with a joyful enthusiasm that lets you know that these guys are for real!
Bassist Harlan Terson
spent six years in the Lonnie Brooks Band, helping to
forge Lonnie's sound during his early years on Alligator
Records. He has also performed and recorded
internationally with many other artists, including Otis Rush, Tad Robinson, and Dave Specter. |
Vocalist Mark Hannon fronted a band in Chicago since
the days when he first recorded a single for Chess Records
with the Durty Wurds. |
Kenny Smith, son of Chicago legend Willie (Big Eyes)
Smith, is one of Chicago's most in demand drummers. Youthful
drive meets blues tradition to lay the foundation for the bands
deep, smoking groove. |
